1. Who We Are

Promptimize ("we", "us", "our") is an AI prompt generation tool operated as an independent product. For privacy questions contact us at contact@promptimize.app

2. What Data We Collect

Account data: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase).

Usage data: We track how many prompts you generate per day. For guests, we store an anonymized hash of your IP address for this purpose only. For logged-in users, usage is tracked against your account.

Payment data: If you subscribe to Pro, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

API key: If you choose to save your own Anthropic API key to your account, it is stored in our database. We do not use this key for any purpose other than processing your prompt generation requests.

Email capture: If you submit your email address to unlock bonus free generations, that email is collected via Formspree and stored on their platform.

Analytics: We use Vercel Analytics to track page views and visitor counts. This data is anonymized and does not identify individual users.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and operate the Promptimize service
• To manage your subscription and process payments
• To enforce daily usage limits
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
• To contact you about your account or subscription if necessary

4. Third Party Services

We use the following third party services which have their own privacy policies:

• Supabase (database and authentication)
• Stripe (payment processing)
• Anthropic (AI prompt generation)
• Formspree (email collection)
• Vercel (hosting and analytics)

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed within 30 days. Anonymized usage data may be retained longer.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To request deletion of your account and data, contact us at contact@promptimize.app

7. Cookies

We use localStorage (browser storage) to track guest usage and preferences. We do not use third party advertising cookies.

8. Children

Promptimize is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will update the last updated date at the top when changes are made.
